IGNIS & JSYSTEM| Ignis Software was founded by the people who built and maintain JSystem. Although we are a young start-up, we represent many years of experience in the field of software testing and test automation. The following is a short history of JSystem: 2004: Guy Arieli, a veteran of the automated testing industry, releases the first version of JSystem as an open-source product. 2005: Guy and Yoram Shamir established AQUA Software (link to Aqua), a professional services company focused on building automated testing solutions. 2007: Ignis is founded with the aim to continuing JSystem development for the benefit of JSystem community. Ignis oversees the JSystem releases, maintains the JSystem website, and contributes the greater part of the new JSystem code with the help of the JSystem community.
The Ignis business model is based on providing services and additional tools to the JSystem users. We strongly believe that the JSystem core should be open for the benefit of everyone. We also think it's perfectly OK to charge for services and add-ons that will make your life with automated testing in general - and with JSystem in particular - easier.
